Profile
Agrégé de philosophie (Université Paris Ouest, 1994), Ludovic Soutif holds a Master’s Degree (Université Paris 1-Panthéon Sorbonne, 1997) and a PhD in Philosophy (Université Paris 1-Panthéon Sorbonne, 2005). He was “Visiting Fellow” at Harvard University (GSAS, 2000-2001) on Fulbright and Arthur Sachs Scholarships, Pensionnaire of the Maison Française d’Oxford (2001-2002) on a Lavoisier Scholarship, Visiting Researcher at the Wittgenstein Archives of the University of Bergen (2002, 2003, 2004) on a ARI Grant from the European Union, and Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of São Paulo (2008-2010) on a FAPESP scholarship. His areas of interest include philosophy of language and mind, philosophy of logic, epistemology, and the history of analytic philosophy, with a special emphasis on the following topics: singular reference, de re thoughts, cognitive value, cognitive dynamics, sense modalities, spatial perception, Wittgenstein.
