Young Talent Abroad Grant
Graduate Program in Philosophy –– PUC-Rio
CAPES Print Project, “Networked Politics and Thinkers”
The Graduate Programme in Philosophy at PUC-Rio is looking to appoint a researcher to a Young Talent Abroad grant in the framework of the CAPES Print project “Networked Politics and Thinkers”.
This is a six-month grant starting no later than March 2020. Its total value is R$ 59.155,85.
The selection process will go from 12 to 28 November 2019.
Candidates must:
- Meet the following criteria:
I – being a non-Brazilian citizen or a Brazilian citizen presently living abroad;
II – having a doctoral title at the time of applying;
III – possessing proven international academic track record (full MA or PhD obtained outside of Brazil or a period of doctoral research abroad of at least 12 months);
IV – currently living in a country included as a target country in the CAPES Print general theme “Governance and Public Policy”, to which the project “Networked Politics and Thinkers” belongs;

I – Updated curriculum vitae on the Lattes platform (http://lattes.cnpq.br/);
II – Digitalized copy of identification document;
III – A work plan (maximum 10 pages) detailing their present research and the activities they intend to carry out at PUC-Rio, including events, short courses or reading groups that they would like to propose.
Documents must be sent by November 11 2019.
Candidates will be selected by a committee consisting of Graduate Program Director, prof. Ludovic Soutif, project coordinator, prof. Rodrigo Nunes, and a third professor to be announced, according to the following criteria:
- Compatibility with the project “Networked Politics and Thinkers”;
- Curriculum;
- Quality and feasibility of the research plan;
- Compatibility of the candidate’s work with the research being developed at the Graduate Program in Philosophy at PUC-Rio.
