Graduation course

PUC-Rio’s Graduation Course in Philosophy lasts an average of four years and offers the options of a Bachelor’s Degree and a Teaching Certificate (Licentiate), with the student being able to choose between either of them or both. In both cases, in addition to the disciplines of the normal curriculum, the student is encouraged to take some classes at other departments of the university, as a way of reinforcing his/her critical and interdisciplinary thinking. Similarly encouraged, above all among students that opt for the Bachelor’s Degree, is the activity of philosophical research, often supported by Scientific Initiation grants.
